FoodlineUK is committed to ensuring your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified, you can be assured it will only be used in accordance with this Privacy Statement. It provides detailed information on what, when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

What we collect

We may collect the following information:

  • Name and job title
  • Contact information such as telephone number, email address and IP address
  • Demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests
  • Customer specific information to facilitate and maintain a trading relationship
  • Financial information (including from third parties ie credit reference agencies & Companies House)
  • Other relevant information such as customer surveys
  • Personal Guarantees (if applicable)

What we do with the information we gather

We require this information to understand who you are, your needs and provide you with better communication and services, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • We may use the information to improve our understanding of your needs in providing products and/or services to you or for communicating with you in regard to any aspect of our trading relationship with you
  • We use it to improve the quality of your shopping experience with us, including online, to make it quicker for you to find products that you purchase or may wish to purchase
  • Communication with you. We may periodically inform you about our promotions, offers, events, product and services including sending you emails / literature / brochures which we think you may find interesting using the contact details which you have provided
  • Develop and manage a commercial relationship with you to facilitate and maintain business including notifying you of orders you have placed and updates on status including delivery, price changes or an update about an outstanding query
  • Internal record keeping such as VAT and compliance with other HMRC requirements 

Why we collect the information

We collect and use this information for the following reasons:

  • To communicate with you
  • To take steps to enter into a contract and/or for performance of a contract with you
  • To take steps to put in place credit facilities and limits
  • For you to make payment using any method acceptable to FoodlineUK Limited
  • For the purposes of our legitimate interests or those of a third party (eg for maintaining records of trading history, including to comply with the terms of our insurance and/or legal compliance), but only if these are not overridden by your interests, rights or freedoms
  • For compliance with the requirements of the Food Standards Agency, Health & Safety Executive (HSE) or Environmental Protection Agency (EA) or any other Statutory Agency in the performance of a contract with you or service or Goods provided to you
  • To comply with legislation, including proof of identity

Controlling your personal information

We seek to ensure that the collection and processing of this information is always proportionate.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

We may distribute your personal information to our IT suppliers in the course of our legitimate interests in maintaining our network and computer systems (service contracts are in place to ensure security of information).

We will not sell or lease or for any other reason distribute your personal information to third parties other than at the request of credit reference agencies, credit insurers, statutory bodies or law enforcement agencies, unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.

We reserve the right to disclose to third parties your personal information for the commercial purpose of recovery of any outstanding debt/monies.

We reserve the right to review and update this Statement.

This Statement has been approved by our Managing Director, who will review and update it as necessary on an annual basis.
